Welcome to our first Black Mountain demonstration! We’re kicking off with Lipizzans and Longswords, where we’ll be covering both the historical and legendary Lipizzan horse and the art of longsword on horseback, watching and learning about how horses like the Lipizzans were used in warfare in the Medieval period and into the Renaissance. You’ll get to meet a few of our Lipizzan ambassadors that will show you the actual techniques behind fighting on horseback, based on texts and illustrations from that era as well as oral tradition and countless hours of study from historians and equestrians.
Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for children ages 2-12. While we have quite a bit of seating, bring a chair just in case we run out! Send us an email if you have any questions!
