Training Retreats

We now offer several training options for those who wish to have a more intensive experience on our equine professors. You can register for sets of 3 days, 5 days, or one month, which you can stack together for longer or intermediate experiences. Each lesson day has two lessons on our horses and includes overnight stays at our facility with some refreshments provided. You can choose to do two dressage lessons per day, one dressage and one carriage driving lesson per day, or one dressage lesson and one trail ride. You may also add on personalized Pilates sessions to your stay. Month-long stays include lessons 5 days per week with two days per week free to enjoy the local delights the area has to offer, including river walks and shopping in Chimney Rock Village, touring the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, shopping in downtown Black Mountain, various spas, multiple golf courses, unique local eateries, whitewater rafting, paddleboarding tours, hikes through various state and national parks, and much more! All of our Training Retreats offer participants a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in classical training while taking time for self-reflection, rest, and growth.

Themed Retreats

We offer regular themed retreats, including our well-liked “Seat Retreats.” Our retreats function like adult camps, giving participants a chance to get away and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere with like-minded people. Retreats vary in length from 2 1/2 days to week-long sessions. Watch our Events page for upcoming events!

You may also book a special themed retreat for topics such as the seat, lateral work, dressage in the trails, and more. Prices depending on the number of participants and the duration of stay.

Corporate Retreats

We will soon be offering corporate retreats! Come enjoy a getaway with your company for leadership exercises, workplace bonding, and more. Our new location in Black Mountain, NC, is close to downtown Black Mountain, “The Little Town that Rocks,” as well as Lake Lure, Asheville, and Hendersonville. We are currently fundraising to build a lodge onsite for groups to stay, and groups will have access to our A/V equipment in our School classroom for presentations, etc. when our new facilities are complete. We will also be offering leadership and communication exercises with equine-assisted learning activities, facilitated by our equine specialist. Until we have our facilities completed, we are happy to host tours, picnics, and other amenities to enhance your retreat experience.
